Meet the Team
At a young age, co-founders Matt Smith and Jon Coral were immersed in the construction world, spending their summers working for Matt’s father’s custom framing and contracting company. It was there that they learned the value of hard work. They understood that the success and integrity of a quality project is dependent upon attention to detail, work ethic, and the relationships with stakeholders. Whether it was building a house from the ground up, renovating a kitchen, or restoring a 19th-century barn, Matt and Jon had shared experiences that shaped their passion for teamwork.
After graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point and earning his MBA from Johns Hopkins University, Matt reunited with Jon, who had earned a Construction Management Degree from Millersville University. Their paths crossed once again, now armed with new qualifications that paved the way for the beginning of their joint venture, ValorBuilt Construction.
